Insurance contracts that do not come under life insurance are called general insurance. The different forms of general insurance are personal, fire, motor, accident and other miscellaneous non-life insurance.
Personal Accident Insurance
Insurance whose insured object is the person. Individuals are protected against an event that directly affects them, such as death, survival, alteration of their health or, on some occasions.
Motor Insurance
Vehicle or motor insurance is meant for cars, two-wheelers and other road vehicles. A motor package policy protects the insured vehicle against the damages caused due to accidents and natural disasters. In addition to vehicle damage, motor vehicle insurance provides mandatory coverage for third-party liabilities.
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is a type of insurance that covers different risks while travelling. It covers medical expenses, lost luggage, flight cancellations, and other losses that a travelers can incur.
Group Insurance
Group insurance is a type of insurance plan that covers several people in the same contract. Such a plan provides the same level of insurance coverage to all members of a group irrespective of their age, gender, occupation or socio-economic status. Group insurance eliminates the need to buy a separate insurance plan for each member.
Fire insurance
It refers to a form of property insurance that covers damage and losses caused by fire. Most policies come with some form of fire protection, but one may be able to purchase additional coverage in case their property is lost or damaged because of fire.
